A dog sits to say please... Ask your dog to sit before serving him dinner, ask your dog to sit before letting him onto the sofa, ask your dog to sit before going out for a walk, ask your dog to sit before patting him, ask your dog to sit whenever he wants something.

	Hold a treat near your dog's nose.
	Say "sit" and move the treat up and over your dog's head.
	When your dog sits, praise and reward him with the treat.

Repeat 2-3 times.

Then without any treats in your hand, repeat the same procedures and your dog should sit when you say "sit" and move your hand up and over his head. Praise and reward him when he does so.

Whenever your dog wants something (food, treats, patting, toys, games), always ask him to sit first.
