Clicker Training We promote
dog-friendly training – training that does not involve
physical punishment and harsh handling of the dog. We believe training should be fun for both dog and owner. We want the dogs to
respond to our requests because they want to do it (maybe for the goodies
that follow :) and not because
they fear us.

Group lesson in
progress
We conduct clicker
training in our pet dog classes. Clicker training is one method of
dog training based on positive reinforcement. With the aid of a
small plastic box called a clicker, we make a click sound when the
dog performs a desired behaviour. But first we have to teach the dog
to associate a click with a treat. When the dog learns that a click
is a promise that a reward is on the way, he can be taught new
behaviours with the clicker.

Using treats to get
the dogs' attention
Clicker training is
a fun and easy way to train dogs. It can be used to teach dogs basic
manners such as sit, down, stay, come and walking on loose leash. It
can also be used to teach tricks to impress friends and relatives!

clicker training and how it can be
